Founded in 2007 in Brooklyn, NY by self-described “industry outsiders”, Amika has quickly become synonymous with quality. Not only do they provide top-notch styling products, but they also offer a line of award-winning styling tools. Technology such as ceramic plates that utilize far-infrared heat and negative ions to heat the hair evenly and from the inside out, minimizing damage sustained with heat styling.
Davines was founded in Parma, Italy in 1983. Since they’re inception they have grown to offices in seven countries with a presence in 90 countries. Davines began as a cosmetics lab conducting research for high-end hair care companies. After years of research for other brands, they decided to launch their own line of products. Davines is not limited to hair care, they also offer a line of face and body skincare products.
Davines' focus is providing quality hair and skin products while promoting sustainability and ethical business practices. In 2005 they drafted the “Carta Etica” which outlines their values and guides written by their employees for the relationship they strive to have in the workplace and the way in which they conduct their business. As of 2016 Davines has obtained a certification as a B Corporation, which demonstrates their commitment to the environment. In addition to their commitment to the environment, awards issued by Allure, Nylon and GQ prove Davine’s commitment to quality as well.
